An open trailing matting plant with wiry stems. Grey/green papery trifoliate leaves.
Flowers are a large pea flowers scattered along stems, red with a yellow centre, followed by long maroon seed pods.
Known as 'running postman' after the old postie vans.
Seen in multiple areas such as coastal dunes to heathy woodland.
