Variable open Acacia shrub
Prickly phyllodes (leaves) encourage bird habitats, sheltering them from predators.
Small bright yellow elongated ‘drain brush’ shaped flowers.
Not to be confused with Acacia paradoxa (Hedge Wattle) which have much sharper thorny phyllodes.
Pruning whilst young promotes a bushy habit. Generally quite a narrow shrub but highly variable.
