A very variable small tree to open shrub.
Dark green oblong foliage with a silver underside, ends toothed.
Flowers are pale to bright yellow hairy flowers on long cones. They later form seed cones which are desirable for decorating and crafts.
Responds well to pruning, the habit in its shrub form can reach 4m.
Seed for this plant is collected from the ‘tree form’ however with seed the form can never be 100% guaranteed

Conditions: Prefers good drainage tolerating soils which can be wet in winter and dry in summer. Full sun to semi-shade
