A favourite in our nursery, it is part of our logo with the kookaburra in the foreground.

A herbaceous Perennial this spectacular wildflower dies back each summer to tubers beneath the ground. keep an eye on where you have planted it as it will grow back each year with stronger foliage and flower stalks.

The tubers were eaten by the Wadarrung and Koorie tribes due to their starchy content.

Flowers have a sweet almost Chocolate aroma, hence the common name.

Although only displayed a month per year these wildflowers are an important part in our local biodiversity.
